What Happens After You Reach Out

I get back to you within 24 to 48 hours. No long wait. From there we set up a free 20-minute phone or video consultation. On that call we go over what brought you here and whether I am the right fit. If it works, I send consent forms and a scheduling link, and we book the first session from there.

Common questions

Contact FAQs

How quickly will you get back to me?

Within 24 to 48 hours, and usually inside one business day during the working week. If you have not heard back after two business days, do call. Something has gone astray.

Can I email or use the form instead of calling?

Yes, and plenty of people prefer to. Use whichever one is easiest for you. Nobody should have to make a phone call to a stranger as their first step, if that is the part standing in the way.

Is what I write in the form confidential?

Treat the form as you would ordinary email rather than as a secure clinical channel. Keep your message brief. Anything detailed or sensitive is better saved for the consultation call, where it is properly protected.

What if I need help right now?

This practice is not an emergency service and I cannot respond to urgent messages outside of session times. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. Therapy is not an emergency service.
